The quality and effectiveness of an organization's ethics ecosystem largely determines its level of fraud risk. The panelists will explain the linkage between ethics and fraud risk, a process requiring recurring vigilance, integration into performance plans, and adequate staffing resources.

After completing this session, you will be able to: 

  • Identify the indicia and signs of a weak ethical ecosystem overall and the ethical culture within an organization
  • Analyze the trustworthiness of an organization's ethics program and bring fresh, multi-disciplinary perspectives to their analyses
  • Recognize the signals of complacency or duplicity--the natural tendence to present the best possible face to others based on false assumptions or active manipulation
  • Assess the ethical climate as part of their forensic accounting and valuation assignments and responsibilities
