Ronald M Cerruti, EA, RPF#1983, MBA, is an alliantgroup Senior Technical Advisor. He discusses client engagements with Tax Compliance Attorneys and clients, including audit strategy pertaining to IRS and state income tax examinations. Mr. Cerruti has assisted on examinations of research tax credit and Section 179D energy credits and presents workshops with colleagues, reviews reports, and provides feedback. He also writes western fiction in his spare time.
Before joining alliantgroup, Mr. Cerruti was a consultant for three years. During that period, he assisted clients with IRS examinations and provided teaching. He spent 35 years working with the Internal Revenue Service in various capacities in both Large and Small Business operating divisions. He was an Engineering and Valuation Manager, and an Engineering and Valuation Territory Manager within the Large Business & International (LB&I) operating division for his last 14 years with the IRS. He directed all IRS engineering and valuation work, including business credits, and business and real property appraisal within the western United States. He has been a guest presenter at numerous seminars, webinars, and professional conferences. He has lectured on conservation easements, business appraisal, working with the IRS, and professional report writing.
