An Exit Planning Market Update: Following the 2021 M&A Super-cycle

Thursday, August 18, 2022 3:00 p.m. - 4:40 p.m. MT

This session will focus on providing attendees with an update on the exit planning marketplace. We will discuss how 2021 created the 'perfect storm' for exiting owners, leading to recording volume and pricing for business sale transactions. We will examine the triple-headwinds in 2022 of rising interest rates and inflation, the war in Ukraine, and the mid-term elections to give updated statistics, guidance, and perspective that attendees can use as they advise their business owner clients on exit plans.

After attending this session, you will be able to:

  • Describe the market-forces that created a robust 2021 selling cycle for private businesses
  • Explain how much of that momentum is carrying over into 2022
  • Produce a detailed analysis on whether a recession is pending and how attendees can advise business owners considering the economic challenges ahead
